Merchandisers
The Merchandiser is responsible for maintaining shelf health in the assigned outlet.
We are inviting applications from interested candidates who reside in the following areas and would like to be considered for future Merchandiser opportunities: Big Bend, Siteki, Mpaka, Nkonyeni, Buhleni, Simunye, Nsoko, Hluthi, Piggs Peak, Hlatikhulu, Nhlangano, Tjaneni, Lavumisa, Siphofaneni & Mankanyane

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Merchandiser is responsible for maintaining shelf health in the assigned outlet.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12
  • Previous merchandising experience will give the candidate an added advantage
  • Must have a smart phone
  • Technological proficiency

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Self-driven and able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Proactive and attentive to detail.
  • Numeracy and logical deduction.
  • Ability to follow instruction and memorise detail.
  • Able to perform manual tasks and stand for extended hours

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Merchandise shelves with correct Client lay outs, in correct space (maintain forward share) and according to rate of sale.
  • Ensure that products are merchandised in the correct category.
  • Clean shelves and products on the shelves.
  • Monitor inventory levels and advise of stock shortages and short-dated stock.
  • Reduce loss from damages by ensuring consistent rotation of stock using expiry dates of the products on the shelves, and in the storeroom.
  • Complete stock counts as required, and advise on variances or shortages.
  • Assist in offloading of the Logico trucks when delivering stock to the store.
  • Remove damages from the shelves and store in damage cages, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness at all times.
  • Use price flashes and PI labels effectively, by making sure that PI labels and price flashes are visible and updated whenever pricing changes.
  • Ensure implementation of promotional activity: POS, displays and competitions in store on time and as per instruction.
